I want to order a Manners T4 stock (should have ordered a Robertson Tac while I could have) and was just wondering if there are mutliple Canadian sources/dealers who can get these stocks.

I may consider a McMillan A5 but I have a couple of Manners and really like them.

Manners has been able to ship direct on occasion, but for whatever reason they cannot maintain the permits. I spoke with Manners a few times and they don’t understand how McMillan does it.

I was referred to Alberta Tactical as their current and main distributor in Canada. They had another distributor whose names cannot be typed, but that is finished now.

Manners will not ship to Canada without the proper paperwork in place. Manners did say that they would be working with ATRS to bring Manners into Canada. I did not want to spill the beans on this, not my place. Manners is waiting for paperwork to go through. I just wanted to see if there was other options available as I was hoping someone might have something in inventory.

I would not buy a stock from R P S ( J O E P O N TO) nor do I think he would sell me one so that is a non issue for me. :p

Not to worry Manners will not sell anything to the guy from Spruce Grove anyway.
We DO have all the paperwork in place to legally export Manners stocks from the USA.
We do plan to stock some Manners stocks, we ordered some while at SHOT, just awaiting their arrival.

after using full on chassis style stocks MDT TAC21,and the XLR I think glass stocks are the way of the past

I have emailed back and forth with Dustin. I am just trying to decide exactly what direction I want to go with the project.

I have been using the same computer for the past six years, call me old fashion. :D

Rick, good luck with Manners and if you decide not to continue, please let us know as they have quality product that we would love to sell.

Regards,

Peter

I got my T2 from R P S, Joe about 2 years ago, had no issues dealing with him whatsoever, gave him all the info ... lop, flush cup locations, bottom metal, etc. Took 6 weeks to come in from manners via Joe. Manners stocks are awesome and worth the money. My Rem700 fit like a glove.

It would be nice to find a source that doesn't mark them up 40% over us retail, in the meantime I'll choose and support McMillan.

It would be nice to give them away too.
The unfortunate problem with importing ANYTHING is that there are additional costs incurred like export licenses, shipping, brokerage, exchange etc.
With Manners discounting their products by a whopping 10% from US retail, that does not even begin to cover the cost of importing.

To try and stay in business with a negative margin somehow just does not work. I don't know how Safeway, Walmart, and every other business stays in business without marking up their products.:bangHead:

I completely understand the situation Rick. It's hard to justify the cost for a Manners, for me anyway, when Mcmillan has their export permit in place and ships directly to Canadian customers for a shipping fee of $75.

What's the deal with ***, I have tried calling/e-mailing and have gotten no responses from him.

He has a regular job that occupies much of his time. Send him in email. He'll get back to you, just maybe not immediately. I have been dealing with him for at least 7 years and never an issue - just patience, which is par for the custom gun industry.
