Can anyone tell me if the flash suppressor for the Ruger SR-22 is, or is not available for this rifle. So far I have spoken to 3 different sources and each has given me different answers. The guys at Al Flaherty's said I can order one for $59, guys at Gagnon said not available in Canada, and that they were banned. and another guy said that I would have to replace the barrel or go to a gunsmith and have them thread the end of the barrel to use an aftermarket one. Without one it just doesn't look the same I mean why would they produce the Canadian version without one. Need some help....

AIM4IT - i bought mine 2 months and no flash supressor. I havent seen a stock version with a supressor on it here yet.........I'm kinda thinking that maybe wont be here, which doesnt make sense when you can do it aftermarket.

Do you have any idea how many people have been killed by a flash suppressor. They are second to the "thing that goes up".

This is mine. It'd look much nicer with a FS.

Dlask did mine...turned out great (I just used an extra A2 FH I had)...I highly recommend their rails also...

Other option is to purchase a new barrel, especially if you consider getting a shorter one in the future, be cheaper in the long run.. pick up a twelve inch from dlask that comes threaded for around $140

Welcome to gunnutz buddy! The Americans have some weird rules about what they can export. In Canada, suppressors (silencers) are illegal but flash hiders are fine. Because of the US export rules however, my understanding is you would have to get the barrel threaded here. There is a guy not far from you who does great work and if you buy the gun I will give you his info.

hey, major piss off! I mean it messes with the overall look of it no? I definitely need to have it threaded then, I guess there are tonnes of after market flash hiders that I could choose from after that. As long as the thread pattern is the same and it's fitted for my barrel. If you have the smith's contact info it would be great. Thanks man!

Thanks everyone looks like i've got some choices then. I was afraid there were limited possibilities, Still think it should have been issued with a flash hider... Ridiculous export laws... anyone know how much a thread job would run me from Dlask? and how long it would take them to do?

just check his site .. dlaskarms dot com under the SR22 title on the left menus bar. I believe it is $65.00, but if you are looking to upgrade. I would get a new barrel that is prethreaded. They come in factory .720 and bull target .920 sizes (thickness of barrel).

Price for threading a barrel is on the Dlask web site.
Just contact them to find out about the time frame for completion.
Their good people.....
