Hi all, I'm sure it's been asked before but I can't seem to work the search function at this present time. So anyway, the question is: Are there any reputable stock makers in Canada that will build custom stocks and forearms for shotguns? All I really need is to have a factory stock and forearm reproduced from a laminate blank and maybe install an adjustable comb on it as well.

Thanks for the help!

Built in 1935 . A quality double rifle and the only one registered in Canada . ... Some handling mark on stocks but over all very good condition . Price 22,500 CAD ...

Yep lots of guys specializing in rifle stocks but most won't touch shotguns.

Might have helped if you had mentioned that in the first post.!!!!!!

Chris Wilcox out of Cherryille BC has about 45 years of experience with shotgun stocks. Everything from common grades to high grade. Especially fine English doubles. Google Wilcox Gunworks 250 547 6480. His site also has pics of the quality of his work. He can provide all grades/types of wood.

Then of course there is martiniandhagngunmakers.com. They are out of Kelowna BC. Both of the above smiths do first class work. Don't expect it to be cheap or quick.

VLT79,
try M & S Stocking, or G.E. Flach.
You may need to supply your own blank, as not many guys up here carry laminate for some reason.

I don't think that Cary (M+S) is doing any stock work. Call to confirm but last I was told he had quit due to health reasons. Too bad as the guy is very talented.

Martini is in Cranbrook unless he has moved recently.

Both Ralph Martini and Martin Hagn are in Cranbrook. The Kelowna 'smiths you are thinking about are Weber & Markin (Chris Weber and Steve Markin).

Chris Wilcox has made 1 stock for me from scratch and finished/fitted another.
Good guy to deal with, good work.
As for Webber & Markin; use someone else...

True, he is still doing other gunsmith work but not finished stocks. As you say, to bad because he is talented and a good guy
