Canadian Stoner M63

Historical trivia, the only company in the 60’s producing linked 5.56 was IVI and it all went to the USN.

Canadians have contributed quite substantially to the US mil through history. The updated f18 flight suits the us navy use for their pilots was developed in cold lake.

As for the Stoner 63 very neat gun. These days we seem to be with the rotating bolt head design for our modern belt feds. Both the Minimi and its derivatives and the HK MG4/5 seem similar, and unless I am mistaken the IWI negev is also a rotary bolt.

I never found the C9 to have objectionable recoil. They were almost new then though....

I once saw a C9 that was smooth as butter!
Something was broke and it was probably near 1,400rpm cyclic.
It was way beyond adverse, just hummed along.
Everyone was begging to fire it 'til the gun plumbers seized it.

In 1977 there were a few of them for sale by a dealer I used to deal with.
They were ex state police guns that were bought directly from the factory with all the spares
