Walked into the local CT to see if maybe they've finally decided to reorder their .22LR ammo and the ONLY boxes they had were two bricks of Win Xpert HV which is find because it's a personal favorite. The shelf didn't have a price tag but I knew the price anyways. I asked if there was any more boxes in the back and I was told they only ordered the two, so I asked for both. Showed the kid my PAL and he took the ammo to the counter.
The lady rang it up and asked for $5.50 after taxes... for two bricks?! So I told her to recheck since they are supposed to be $19 a brick. She checks again and comes up the same price so I told her she better contact a supervisor. Turns out the guy is a hunter and the moment he seen the price he knew it was a mistake and tries ringing it up three more times, still the same. So he goes off to try and find the price tag on the shelf, comes back about 15 minutes later saying he can't find one. By this time it's been about 30 minutes.
So the guy calls up the owner of the store, explains everything and the owner simply says "well just charge him $5.50 for each box and send him on his way, we'll sort this out later, he's been politely waiting long enough".
So I scored two bricks for $11!
