Rant Warning.:mad::mad::mad:

2 weeks ago I dropped into my local CTC Store here in Riverview, NB to pick a box of clay targets, out of stock(which is actually unusual for this store), so I ordered in box. This morning I get the call they're in. Head down to my local store, the clerk hands me a box of Champion Targets, made in Wisconsin???
WTF. I said to clerk, what happened to Lawry, they've carried Lawry targets for the 20 some years I've shooting targets. He said no idea, the new supply came in and was these guys. Lawry produces a fully biodegradable and non-toxic target, these friggen American things have a warning on them indicating they are toxic to wildlife, nowhere is it marked that they are biodegradable. Why the hell would a Canadian company the size of Canadian Tire with a long business history of dealing with a good Canadian company, producing a very good environmentally product switch to some a junk toxic product? Worst of all, they advertising Lawry and a Made in Canada product under product number on they're website. Does this tick anyone else?

Cambodain Tire in Calgary have started to handle white flyer. The pitch shortage makes targets tough to get without booking long in advance. White flyer has bio targets but they are very acidic when wet and kill vegetation.

A few months ago there was a problem with getting pitch for targets. I believe at that time Lawry's were trying to keep clubs shooting as best they could and I believe some got some got Champions. It may have been the same with CTC. I understand that problem has been remedied. However, the full target season is upon us and I suspect that everyone is at full production.

I dunno... Every time I visit Lawry's the warehouse is packed to the rafters with skids of clays...

I was surprised to see Hamilton Gun Club using White Flyer targets when I was there. Only time I've been there, so I don't know if that's a permanent thing or not.

I'm ordering 3 skids of clays this week from Lawry's so I'll find out how long the wait is soon.

the white flyer rep out of Calgary, just put a $1.40 a box increase on their clays. That could be pretty expensive buying by the truckload. Could be CT is in the same boat.
