These are blue painted steel stands that Cdn. Tire sells. Knocked down in a cardboard box. Sort of thing you'd put under a portable table saw. Regular price is $39.95. Don't bother unless you really need something like this in a hurry. Sometimes they are on sale for $19.95. A better buy. Bought some. Last fall they had them at $9.95. Scooped up a batch of them. I've put them under my belt and strip sanders, a small lathe, my drill press, and three work benches. My loading bench is 8' long, with three of the stands under it. One workbench top is fairly heavy steel, the other two are built up wood. 2x6s or 2x8s lengthwise, with 2' long 2 by pieces screwed down crosswise, this covered with screwed down chipboard, then a layer of composition floor covering for my loading bench, a layer of oak flooring leftovers on the one workbench. Thick sturdy tops, made from leftovers and scraps. Watch for these CT stands on sale. They are extremely useful and versatile. Just don't pay $39.95.
