Picked this one up today. Everything matched (except mag), no forced matches and original numbers on the stock. Anyone wanna chime in with details?
1952 date
Bolt face looks unfired

Good looking, might be un-refurbished, but we would need close ups of the receiver cover and the front cross-bolt area of the stock.
The gold laser etching is standard for the Russian imports now.

Its rough around the cross bolt

Damage was 229$ minus 48.65$ in crappytire money.

Of the 5 on the shelf, this was the cleanest. The rest had forced matches parts, very rough stocks and poor crowns

Beautiful! Blued, no obvious refurb stamp on the receiver cover, front cross-bolt stock markings look original. Probably un-refurbished and if you say
the internals look unfired, perhaps you have an un-issued. You picked a winner! Tula factory made in 1952, normal handling bruises on stock.:d

Was just in canadian tire today and I noticed a new, massive gun display. They had a laminate stock 1951 on sale for $209. I'm happy to see my local Canadian tire carrying firearms and also kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on that purchase. I'll be going back Tuesday morning. Lol

I was there with a buddy looking to make his first purchase. This one caught my eye as two other bearded older guys walked up(funny the first thing he asked is what regiment I had served in, seems we were all x military) They were there to take a look at the sks's, neither knew anything about them and by the time I got through explaining the basics on what to look for.... I had talked myself into buying it. Good thing I have an understanding wife lol.
The staff now know considerably more about them as well.

Looks nice. the Mag is'nt origional but the blued cover and the cross bolt stamps are great. the picture of the stock was too far away but it still looked Dated . - the star and the date with number ?? good find. I'll bet it shoots nice.
