Howlo. I am interested in guns, specifically handguns and sniper rifles. When I was younger my dream was to become a sniper in SWAT. I never applied to be an officer.

Video games took over. I've always had an interest in guns. I'd like to learn to shoot various types of Handguns. For some reason I like the square, sleek, black ones. I think police issue type.

I'm 32 years old, male. Live in ontario all my life. Closest I've got to shooting a firearm was a airgun.

Was hoping to find someone to mentor me in handguns, then someday get my own, join a gun club or shooting range and work my way up to rifles, then sniper rifles etc.

Oh when I was younger, my father let me shoot his shotgun..though he had to hold me, and I fired my mom's old air rifle.

Well anyways, if there's any mentors in the GTA. Please get back to me, or can even suggest to me some training schools that have in class and practical training.

My email is woof@eol.ca

Thank you.:50cal:

CW,

Do you have your restricted possessiona and aquisition licence or PAL? If not, contact http://www.fseso.org/ and get on a course. Its mandatory you have one and its a good way to get your feet wet.

Once you have your PAL, you'll need to join a club to shoot restricted rifles and pistols. A good one on the western edge of the GTA is www.rangeburlington.ca.

They have pistol, IPSC, IDPA and rifle leagues that can provide hands on and mentoring.

Pay Sharon Gun Club a visit. Sharon Gun Club is just north of Green Line on Kennedy Rd. For $35, you get and introductory course and the opportunity to try shooting a variety of firearms. You don't need any firearms experience or licence to attend. Check out the following link.
