I spent a year in New South Whales and know something about their gun laws. There is NOT a TOTAL BAN on guns in AU, it is just a lot harder and more expensive to own and use the guns you are allowed to have.
Why are you interested in the subject anyway? I will likely be down under again this time next year. (my wife has applied for another year teacher exchange)
