Hey everyone I am just trying to compile a list of all canadien stock manufactures ( f class) so I can look over them and decide whice I pefer. So far I know of Mcrs, wildcat and Robertson( not sure if they are still in buissnes) any one else? Btw I would pefer a laminate over a fibreglass but could be convinced to go either way

I messaged star shooter for a quote on a laminate but no response yet, and depending how adventitious( or how much free time I have) I might try building my own laminate/ Fiberglass stock

There are also people who make stocks at home for people as a hobby. This is where mine is coming from.

I'm working on one myself.

Its a bit more tricky than anything else i have tackled before because the rifle (Shultz & Larsen Match Rifle) has an odd system where as the front action screw threads into the action from the bottom (like is traditional) but the rear goes in from the TOP through a hole in the rear of the action and then threads into the trigger assembly.

Anyways the lesson i learned is that a Boyds stock is darn cheap when I consider 6-8 hrs so far and just have the pillars installed.

I thought about a Boyd's pro varmiter. But I want something with a parallel forend/ but stock and 2 1/2( or wider) forend. Talked to Richards microfit in the states. And they won't sell to non american customers.

The people at star shooter are real nice to deal with. They also make a very good quality bipod.

Any idea roughly how much one of there basic f class stocks run. No bells and whisles( ie carbon fiber and adjustsble this and that)
No response from them yet

Full disclosure: I am on Team Star Shooter but I will say that I have one of their wood stocks and I love it. Some of the nicest wood stocks I've seen from a Canadian manufacturer, and in basically any wood you want. I know they were out of town attending to a family matter, but I'm certain Tessa will get back to you shortly. FWIW I also have a Robertson stock that is nice (better than McM) but it has a very different feel than the wood. I find that the wood dampens recoil better, and overall is more pleasant to shoot, let alone look at. Robertson is out of business, but I believe someone out west is making very similar stocks out of laminate.
