We are expecting to pass final inspection @ Galt with flying colours as we not only met all conditions at the club, we exceeded them. Required to add 6" to berms height, we added over 36", etc...

So in response, we want to celebrate. With our very best way of enjoying the range. Action Shooting of course!

Everyone should know that we love to make them so you can enjoy shooting them!!

Huzzah! Welcome back to the game, Jarlath. You and the good folks at Galt always put on great matches. :)

Thankfully our section members actually pulled to gether as a club for work parties to get the necessary upgrades finished in a timely and cost effective manner. My hat off to all those that volunteered their time & efforts at Galt. For nearly 600 members overall, and almost 1/2 of those belonging to handgun, we had on average larger than 10% turnout for handgun & indoor section work parties. Much better than the 6 or 7 that turned out last year at range cleanup parties.

So I am proud of our club for pulling though this time, and what better way to show it than having shooting events and putting several thousand rounds down range. :)

I hope you can show up SB. It has been awhile...

It's not so much you guys but the same group that requests the first squad and takes forever to get ready And shoot.

Not my fault that the people who make up the first squad are the first people to answer the posting and email their request. As for the taking forever, if they are not ready by the time we are, they can take a score of 999.0 for the stage.

Nah. I'm the big cuddly teddy bear who yells "Cover" alot. For the nasty work I get my buddy the locksmith to deal will the stragglers. :)

No we just found out from our last match how important some form of efficiency is. If they don't show up for the squad on time, they miss the CoF Briefing and they get skipped down the pile of shooters.

Another suggestion (stemming from the match I just ran): if they get to the X and want a recap of the briefing, too bad. Back of the line and watch the others shoot, or just engage targets at random and take the procedurals. I had one squad where every shooter, every stage, got the briefing again. Yikes.

Assuming your COF is simple - and it should be - this should work fine.

NO worries Jarlath, running a course of fire is just something you have to learn the hard way...by doing it. Each course of fire gets easier, hang in there and we will help you out were we can. Good luck buddy.

He was at the training course and is qualified to SO. He has SO's at other matches at Galt as well. A good guy to boot.

Unfortunate events beyond the control of the ODPL & Galt have forced us to cancel this match. I found out at 10pm tonight. I apologize to all those who signed up (Over 80% full).

Trust me when I say that the ODPL Crew @ Galt are livid with this turn of events.
