200 YD PRECISION RIFLE MATCH
SATURDAY JULY 14 SELKIRK GAME AND FISH RANGE
REGISTRATION AND BRIEFING 8:00 AM . SHOOTING STARTS 9:00 AM
RULES
Two person teams. Entry fee $50.00 per team.
Maximum 25 teams.(enter early)
Any centerfire rifle allowed except large magnum calibers. (they damage steel targets)
MAXIMUM one semi-auto rifle per team.
Approximately 40 reactive targets from golf balls to 8”x8” steel plates.
10 min. time limit.
COURSE OF FIRE
-Two teams will shoot at the same time.
-Shooting order determined by draw.
-Competitors will start behind the firing line. When the signal to begin is given, the clock will start and shooters will carry all necessary gear to the line. Teams must then engage four 8” steel targets at a distance of 150-200 yds. from any UNSUPPORTED shooting position. (standing, kneeling, sitting) BEFORE going prone to shoot the remaining targets.
-Total time with all targets down will determine the finishing position.
-After all teams have completed the course, teams with the 4 fastest times will compete in a head to head playoff. 1st will shoot against 4th and 2nd will shoot against 3rd. The losing team with the fastest time will be awarded 3rd place and the winning teams will shoot head to head for the Championship and 2nd place.
-Backup guns will be allowed in the playoffs ONLY.
-Trophies awarded for 1st,2nd and 3rd.
-After the competition is over, all competitors may shoot the course again (challenge, grudge matches, same or different partner/gun) for a fee of $10.00 per team. Proceeds will go to buy and repair steel targets for future matches.
-The handgun range is available for all competitors to shoot steel. Bring a handgun and make it a full day.(no 22 please)
