I came across a brand new (old stock) Canjar Set trigger for a remington 700. Does anyone on this forum has experience with those triggers? I'm considering replacing my X-mark pro for the Canjar.

I used a few in the late 60's early 70's.

If you want a very light trigger that is slow to use they work well.

On a 700 the original trigger can usually be worked done to 1.5 pounds... sometimes lighter... by an experienced 'smith'.

you have to do some metal work to the floor plate. On my outfits if you set the trigger and fire it with the safety on when you take off the safety the gun will fire. Some thing to watch for.Other than that fantastic trigger.

If I remove the trigger pad, no metal work should be needed.

Finally I need to remove some material on the receiver in order to fit the trigger in place, the safety mechanism is thicker than the X-mark Pro.
