Can't Afford an SVT 40? Make Your Own!!

In Ka-na-da, would this be considered:

1. Art.

2. Prohibited, hand in for destruction and / or go to jail for 4 years?

As long as you have a PAL/RPAL that allows possession of the particular firearm you are good to go. If it is a restricted/prohib then it also needs to have a serial and be registered

OK, so let me get this straight...

Inert wooden replica not-a-gun - need a PAL
Dewat real ex-machine gun - don't need a PAL

So, to summarize - If I didn't have the appropriate PAL, I would get in trouble by displaying say an inert, non functioning wooden MG08, but purchasing, owning and displaying the real dewat MG08 is OK???

Reminds me of the hash bar scene from Pulp Fiction....

So if that is the case, what rules apply to this and how is it different?

Still not correct but getting warmer...
Dewat machine gun isn't a gun.
Replica is not a gun but it's prohibited pal or not.

It's easy to understanding, You should answer the question below.

1. Is it the replica of actual firearm ? Yes, go to 2nd question, No, You can owe and no license need.
2. Does it shot any projectiles ? Yes, go to 3rd question, No, then it's prohibited, you will need prohibited license like movie prop or something like that.
3. Does the projectiles do a lots of body harm ? Yes, then prove it. No, it's prohibited.
4. You will need send it to RCMP to get FRT to mass importation or mass production.
5. If it's for personal use then as long as you justified the body harm then you are good to go.

By no mean, I'm no lawyer and all above are just my two cents.
