I have a sxs 10ga 32" barrels fixed chokes at f/m. I love this beast of a gun but I ran into a problem. I've never really been much into goose hunting but this year everyone keeps inviting me out and I've had great luck. I turkey hunt every spring and get my years work out carrying my 10ga and the full choke hammers toms. The barrels are very thick all the way to the muzzle. My problem is should I leave it as a turkey gun and occasional goose gun or open the full to a mod? I've been shooting steal BBs thru the full choke. Patterns decent to 50yards. The mod has a better pattern with the steel. I don't ever plan to shoot anything bigger then BBs. I do have other 12gas. Even 3.5" guns but I love the 10ga. So I've brought my indecision to the cgn population. Ream the full to a mod or leave it the way it is?

I would be measuring the full bore first since I bet it measures as a modern modified. Should not be getting good patterns with BB steel and a fixed full choke and as you know should not even been shooting steel shot that large out of it. No2 is pushing it. I would leave the old gun alone.
If you love the 10ga the more I think about this I see you have a perfect excuse for mama to approve a good used browning gold as a solution
