cant find a barrel for my revolver

hi, im having trouble finding where or who i can buy a new or used barrel for my .357 revolver. I have a S&W 586 with a 6" barrel and id like to machine a 4.25" barrel for it but don't want to wreck the original barrel in case i ever want to put it back on. i don't care about the length of what I buy as im going to be machining to fit my frame i also dont care much if its an original smith barrel. if anyone has any ideas or something sitting in their collection of parts that they would be willing to sell, let me know. Thanks!
