Hey there, I got an Xbolt LA with a Sightron S111 6-24, mounted on it.

I have the scope as far back as possible but am still 2 or 3 inchs too short.

I have to stretch my head forward(goose neck) to get a full eye box ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is gonna sound weird but would a cantilever mount mounted backwards to bring the scope back towards you work?

I know Vortex has 2 & 3 inch cantilever offset

How's the length of pull on the stock? Does it fit you well? If you have a bigger chest, it will push the rifle forward in relation to the scope. I've been struggling with that myself. Some stocks will fit you better than others.

What mounting hardware are you using? If a 2 piece base is used you can be limited in where the scope can sit. A Picatinni rails offers you far more mounting positions.
We happen to make a Picatinni rail for the X Bolt rifles.

D63548EF-BAE4-4DD9-915F-8C917FC50528.jpgIt's a two piece base, made for the XBolt.
I have a couple of of one piece mounts but they won't fit on the two small bases.

LOP is good.

My Bushnell 4-12 works fine.

With a good cheek weld I'm about 5 1/2 inches ,back.
I need to at 4 1/2 inches.

Would the one piece base give me the extra inch? ATRS?

Yep, 1pc rail will solve this problem

Just a note, when moving the scope to the rear, try not to clamp the rear ring near the turret housing... The gap you have now is great. so the rear ring also needs to be able to move back.

Good luck.

Yes, I need about one more inch.
From where it's at now.

I plan on mounting it in a one piece,

I had the same issue with my savage. 1 piece mount did the trick for me. (other option would be to shorten the stock, which is on my to do list but I'm not a big guy, that option won't work for most)

The gun feels really good, shouldered,so I don't think I want to cut an inch of the stock :)

Browning sucks for aftermarket parts.

We have the solution in stock ready to ship. 0 and plus 20MOA

I have a 30 m one piece mount, but it's gonna go on my MV.

I would like a 30 mm one piece mount for my Sightron though.

I have two scopes for my Xbolt,so I'm not in the biggest hurry.

I'll give ya call tomorrow, and we can figure out what I need.

Thanks
