Can't get shell holder on press

My RCBS Rockchucker has always been tight. To get my RCBS shell holders (.45 and .303), I have to use a hammer to tap them in all the way and to tap them back out again.

I picked up a Lee 7.62x54 three die set, which is apparently for .308 anyway , that includes one of their shell holders. No matter how much I hammer it won't go on all the way, close but not quite. What gives?

I have just had the same problem with a new lee shell holder for my 44 mag.
The shell holder would not fit my Rockchucker press ram. A bit of mearuring and I found that the bottom part of the shell holder was thicker than any of my others so a few minutes with some 320 emery paper on a flat surface did the trick.
I have never had any other shell holders give me a problem before.
I would suggest that you take some measurments and see where it tight.

Lee shellholder's are proberly not a good fit for RCBS equipment!

I would recommend that you get a RCBS shellholder, or a Lee press!

I use Lee shellholders in my RockChucker without incident.
