it seems that the manual and the gun itself doesn't match. look at the safety position.

i had some trouble firing it today. it was like the firing pin did not hit the cartrige but i clearly heard the click as i pulled the trigger. so i think it might have something to do with the safety.

i know it's a cheap gun but i love it and it's perfect for what i use it to. i never had problem with it since today, i bought it 2 month ago. any help on this would be appreciated

The position the safety is in in the picture is the off position (bolt unlocked). To put the safety on(full) push the safety lever toward the bolt(forward on the right side of safety lever). The safety levers on these are rough and I haven't seen one that wasn't a little stiff to engage. I have 3 of these. They normally aren't that clean when they are shipped out. All of mine were really dirty inside. I would suggest taking the bolt apart and cleaning it thoroughly. The bolt is easy to disassemble. If yours is as dirty as mine it wouldn't take much to hang up the firing pin. One of mine had metal filings inside where the firing pin is.
Hope this helps.

You will have to take the bolt apart and do some shaping and polishing on the nose of the safety lever. I've had to do it, not really that hard to do.

As 762 shooter posted.
You will probably have to polish it to make it easier to engage. It's too bad they wouldn't take the little extra time needed to finish the safety a bit better. Glad it worked out for you.
