I have a trijicon acog knockoff and I for the life of me can not figure out how to turn the red dot on top off. There are no buttons or swicthes. And all the screws are for alignment and locking up the adjustments.

Could it be possible it just stays on 24/7?

I got it on a gun I bought and the previous owner says it goes off when you put the cover on it. But I can't find anything that would cause it to do that? I think it stays on under the cover.

Has anyone owned one similar to this? pics attached

Seen these before, if battery powered put a cover over it and it will go off. If it's a knock of but the fiber optic is real it will stay on all the time. The way to check is putting your hand tight over the fiber optic and see if it goes away.

Be advised of that's an actual rifle there is a great chance of it blowing apart or best losing zero on a semi regular basis. If it's not still check zero on a regular basis. Seen them from $50-250 holding zero is a pipe dream.

Best of luck.

Alright! Thanks a bunch bud.

Its battery powered and the fiberoptic doesn't work.

It's actually not a half bad scope though I actually really like it. The field of view is enormous and very clear. I can't complain. The reddot portion of it is more of a novelty that is just neat to have.

I guess the reddot goes off when the cover goes on then. I couldn't find any mechanical reason for it to do so, but if you and the previous owner say you've seen them before than it must. *note to self.... don't lose the damn cover!* lol

Thanks for the help
