Well gents I just noticed that my gas block on my cz is canted. It runs fine so far only 200rds but what will be the long term effects?

This is the second firearm with in one year that I have had canted sights and canted gas blocks.

Really starting to get pissed.

Should I call Wolverine and have it shipped back? And wait another 5 weeks for a firearm to be fixed.

If it runs, it runs. I can't imagine what long-term effects there might be from the gun working properly.

If it bothers you, send it back.

If your rifle run fine, no worries. I dont see bad long term effects and a CZ is not a match rifle so accuracy wont suffer a bit. Like Stevo said, if that really bother you, send it back to the dealer.

On further thought, how much is it canted? Is there a noticeable "off-center" look to the piston?

If it's canted a lot, I suppose you could see some uneven wear at the rear sight block, but if it's not binding now, I don't imagine you'd see that much.

Hey Stevo,

Thanks for the replies it's nice to know that people are willing to help.

My buddy who has way more time with a CZ looked at it today. He thinks it's just the casting of the gas block that makes it canted. The piston sits straight and inline with the barrel. No binding . everything looks good, the piston is sitting perfect inside the gas block(same tiny little gap on both sides).

Just going to have to deal with the look of it.
