I've got a tweaked M14 type rifle that shoots well (1.5 MOA). I've taken it out to 830 yards and made hits on a 2/3 IPSC plate. Hungry can attest to that, haha. Thing is I had maxed out the elevation travel on my 3.5-10 MK4 and still had to hold over about 0.5 mil. That got me thinking about a canted base or unimount. All my precision rifles have a 20 MOA base but I don't think there is such a thing for an M14? I have an ARMS 18 mount and ARMS 22 rings right now. Thinking of swapping out the ARMS ring maybe for an ADM qd mount with 20 MOA of cant, anybody have any experience with doing something similar? I measure the ARMS 18 and it's 4.3" long and the specs for the ADM are close to that, just not sure if it will fit well or if it matters if it overlaps off the mount? It would be even better if there were a qd unimount with 20 MOA and a pic rail on top as I'd like to add a red dot on top of the rings (you can get a different top cap for the ARMS rings). I figure this is good info for when I eventually get a BCL-102 as well since I'll rebarrel in 6.5 Creed and I have easy access to steel out to 980 yards...
