For those who are new, and wondering about canted scope mounts and how much they might need, I put some thoughts down that might help if you are wondering:

Why use Canted Scope Mounts and How Much?

Tilt mounts are used to increase accuracy and allow for faster target acquisition, especially when shooting at long range or when using certain optics.
Canted mounts are used to gain elevation adjustment in your optic which in turn allows more dialing for longer range shooting. It will not make target acquisition any faster! A canted mount will not make a firearm anymore accurate either. If you have an optic with 40 mils of elevation travel, 20 mils are available above and 20 mils below your reticle. You then mount that optic with a 10 mil cant (base, rings, combination of both) and now your scope still has 40mils of travel but its now 30 mils up and 10 mils down from the center of the reticle(aiming point)). There are factors that can affect this like height above bore etc but it gives the general idea of what’s gained with cant(Tilt) mounts.

Exactly, sounds like April didn't read it.
