looking for some opinions on this gun. 100 rounds a year likely. first tactical shotgun owner. thanks kindly,

Not a review or opinion on the canuck but I'd go with a Maverick 88 if it were me. Tons of aftermarket parts so you can tacti#### it however you want. Easy dissassembly + easily removable trigger assembly for cleaning. They haven't changed in forever other than the double action bars and safety button afaik and you can't kill the damn things.

I have the Canuck regulator. I believe it's the same receiver just different stocks. I had one small issue when I first got it after 9 rounds it jammed up bad. I gave it the Russian salute kick to get the empty out. Called the dealer they gave me the warranty number. I called and within minutes had a return shipping label. It was 5 or 6 days and I have the gun back fixed and it's been flawless since. I'd estimate about 1000 rnds now at least. It's alot tighter and less chunky and rattley than my mav88 or mossberg 500s but the short barrel hits poa. I've used the commanders before and didn't care for the sites but I scored hits with each shot I took
Canuck has a great warranty in Canada and what what Ive heard from friends extra parts are a phone call away.
I'm the only one that's had an issue with one of their pumps from ppl I know who own them. Their ou guns suck and their semis are hit or miss but they seem to have the pumps down

That old Winchester was built to last for generations
These Turk guns are for the casual shooter who more care about the styling and looks and only plan to shoot them once in a while
They make ok truck and camp guns but they won’t stand the test of time like a Remmington, Winchester or Mossberg will
If I need to use a “real” shotgun I grab my mossy 590 not one of the Turk guns

Why is it acceptable that I have a better chance of buying an 80 year old Winchester Model 12 that works flawlessly and never saw a warranty shop, than a brand new Turkish pump?
Find a replacement part for a 80yo gun that was hand fitted vs email a Pic of a broken part to the dealer and have the part shipped that day for free.
Pros n cons to each. Buy from a reputable dealer and you shouldn't have cause for concern. I currently have several Turkish guns ranging from cheap canuck regulator pump to a higher end ou that was once branded as a kimber. Of all the Turkish guns I've had only one needed warranty and 1 needed parts that likely broke due to what some would call neglect. Over 42000 rnds thru a Turkish semi auto in 2 years with very few cleanings. A bolt lock and a spring broke that were replaced free of charge with just a picture. Corwin arms was amazing. Didn't even charge shipping

I've dealt with stoeger and ended up needing master card to push fraud charges to get my issue resolved
I have friends with benellis waiting over a year for parts
I've seen new bereta silver pigeons fail to eject
Brownings that shed the camo coatings or become so sticky you can't shoot them without your facial hair sticking to the gun all not resolved

Every company can produce bad quality. What's worse a $300 gun that has issues or a $3500 gun that has issues? In today's world both options have risks

Brand new guns that don't work properly are not acceptable.
Two failures of new Canucks from a half dozen replies to this post is a bad sign. These examples of Canuck brand problems with new guns are not the only failures that I have come across.
I don't want to participate in a lottery when buying a gun, to see if I got a good one.

You take a chance with any mass produced product.
What you don't hear is the many thousands of positive examples. If cheap Turkish guns weren't selling well no dealer would be bringing them in. There isn't much of a margin for profit in gun sales and it seems like every dealer carries some form of Turkish gun.

There's also alot of ppl who buy name brands that Dre made in turkey while slamming others for buying Turkish guns

I'm not by any means saying that is you. There are definitely brands known to be junk but there are brands with stellar reputations.
We as consumers force the market to race to the bottom
In a world where more and more things are roboticallly made and cnc'd I just don't care what country the start button got pushed in

I will say the finish on my cheap Turkish pump is far ahead of the finish on my three beretta a400s and the wood grain didn't need to be faked either
Don't get me wrong I still prefer my berettas but I'll still use a Turkish gun as well.
I have 4 huglus that have been flawless and a Dickinson arms that's just gorgeous with real bone and charcoal case colors and a canuck regulator that I like more than mossberg 500 and maverick88 and my model 12
