Hey all,

just wondering if anyone else has had any luck finding any wood canuck regulators (14 inch with bird head grip) in stock anywhere...

I hear there a fun shotgun, but you get what you pay for in wood quality. Lots of chatter about the wood splitting easily when dropped.

Also I'd watch the EE on this site for a quality remington 870 wingmaster / express or a mossberg 500 for that price range (350) and actually get a made in usa shotgun with quality parts that are field tested over 60 years... I happen to of just got a very nice quality 500 for $300 last week off of this site shipped to my house $325 .you can make it look like a regulator with a $30 wood pistol grip and a $100 short barrel ( or cut the hunting barrel to 18.5")

I can absolutey attest to the wood splitting rumours as overblown BS. Mine is rock solid, so is my neighbours. People want to hate on Turkish shotguns because they are very good and are reasonably priced--and their wood is, well, Turkish walnut--hard to beat ! Buy the Regulator in wood, you'll be pleased.

Many Turkish guns have stock crack issues. It is due to poor wood metal fit up. I know many people think it is cheap it must be a good deal. I am kind of old fashion. When I buy a new gun, I expect it to work . I remember a professor in collage, that said "you can make things cheap, and you can make them durable, but difficult to make them both
