Getting more interested in Carbon Fiber forends for my AR.

Seems kind of a win-win to me. Weight reduction, strong and look good too.

Who's using em ? Pics appreciated.

Other than cost, any real downside opinions ? What's available up here?
Thanks.

Not sure what you mean when you say cost is a downside. I have 2 of them (actually 3 as I have a spare 15") that I picked up from a place in Edmonton (not a sponsor so won't mention the name). A P Customs. 9" was about $180 and the 12" and 15" were both just over the $200. They work great. Light, but sturdy, and half the price of many of the "free-float" handguards that I had been looking at

Unfortunately AP Rhino has went under...

Didn't realize that they went under. All I know is that they were a good price so I got one-or three. I don't think they are something that wears out, so I should be good indefinitely. Heck I've even got a spare 15".

They are well made, that's the only reason I even mentioned them. I really like mine

Troy makes a nice Carbon Fiber Handguard. Ive been eyeing it up for a few months, deciding exactly what I want to build next.
