CarbonSix prefit barrel?

I’ve never had a CarbonSix barrel but my understanding is that they use McGowen liners.

The one McGowen barrel I had was for a 10/22 and it sucked in the accuracy department.

I haven’t heard anything good about them. But that’s just from what I have read on forms. Get a Hardy Carbon I haven’t heard anything bad about them only good.

Ummmm....

If you have questions about CarbonSix prefits (or blanks), send me a PM or email.

If you have any concerns about the performance of a Mcgowen or CarbonSix barrel purchased from me, send me a pm or email. The products are very well supported.

The CarbonSix and McGowen barrels I have shot, have all worked very well. Yes, I have several McGowens and a couple of CS's.

Feedback from my customers have also been very positive.

Enough said....

I ordered a carbon six barrel when they first came out thru Jerry, I ended up changing my mind on calibers and decided to sell it. I don't have any first hand experience shooting them but I did borescope it and it looked very good, my impression of the barrel was positive and thought they did a great job finishing them. The weight of the barrel was a little more than I would have liked but it was within the +- 15% they state on their website. I ended up building an ultralight 260rem with a hardy barrel and it came in very very light, a little concerning they can build a 23" barrel at 2lb 5oz and its about an inch at the muzzle. I try not to think how thin the barrel metal might be...

I purchased a CS from Jerry (Mystic Precision) It wasn't a prefit though. Finish was/is excellent. Bore looks great. Still doing load development but an arbitrary charge of Varget for fireforming brass was showing sub-moa at 300 yards. Weight of the barrel came in almost exactly where it was stated to.
