Carcano prices

I bought these a few months ago, cleaned em up real good, now Iam thinking I don't need 2, I always liked carcanos and always keep an eye on the EE. But prices seem to vary like crazy when I comes to these rifles. Also are all parts numbered on an m38? I can't seem to find any numbers on the mag well housing. What would be going rate for one of these rifles? (Top 2 in picture) I was thinking around the 250$ mark? Any input is appricated.

Top two are indeed m38s and the bottom one is a 91/24. What caliber are the m38s in ? Year and maker ? In some cases, serial too if they are 1940 terni to see how close they are to oswalds rifle.

Both are 6.5 and 1940, I'll have to wait until I get home to look at the serial #'s what's was oswalds ?

I have a "b" series 1940 terni but I would love to see the close sister rifles of oswald's rifle.

What is the maker and date for the 91/24 ?

I have a few of the Carcano carbines but not the bottom one in the picture.

I was given some ammo 7.35 X 51.
At first I thought they were 7.62 X 51, but they didn't make 7.62 ammo in WWII so I measured them and found out they were 7.35.
I made the mistake of selling off some nice Italian rifles over the years but you can't keep them all.

Yes, with the recent 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination, there was renewed interest in the 1891/38 Carcano....

Here is my copy of that rifle.

I was 25 years looking for the correct scope to make a duplicate.

Man, that's a flimsy looking mount! I heard that when the authorities tried to shoot Oswald's rifle, the scope was way off, and wouldn't hold a zero worth a damn. Is that the case with your Carcano as well? Nice replica, by the way!!

We will never know truly as the rifle is locked up for good in the National archives.

I have some Western Cartridge Company brass, and it comes with the same box when they were sold in the 60s. It was this milsurp ammo that LHO used.

I saw some of this ammo for sale on gunbroker last November. It sold for a small fortune.

It is truly a shame that these lovely rifles are only remembered because JFK was assassinated.
