I just spent 1/2 hour trying to get information but came short... does anyone know what these stamps mean?

Both by FAT Fabrica Arma Terni
1) made Italian Fascist Republic after Italy split in 1943 crown over cartouche replaced by star
2)made before split has crown over cartouche

Made Italy seems weird, first time I've ever seen that. Export marking to an English speaking country ?

Upper one is a late war terni. Last known prefix is BH ###X and yours appear to be BB ###X. I have one in the BG prefix batch made under german control after they invaved the north of italy. I dont know when it was introduced but late model sometime have cutout for a sight hood like the K98k added there by the german. Pretty cool feature if you have it
