Carl Gustaf/Gustav 30-06 Mauser?

Has anyone heard of a "Carl Gustaf 30-06?" My buddy has one and I'm debating buying it, just have a hard time finding some info on it.

There were a lot of m96 and m94 Swedish Mausers converted to sporters in different calibres. This includes 8x54 Danish, 30-06, .308 and 8x57 Mauser being the most common.

Companies such as Husqvarna, Stiga, and others made them.

Theres a can of worms Personally I dont think so. Theres been tens of thousands of them and I'm not aware of any issues. But to the OP, ya probably a Stiga or Husky. Not worth a whole lot, anywhere from 250-400 depending on condition

Not my first choice for such a conversion but as mentioned there were a lot of them done by reputable companies. Based on that and the fact you don't hear about any exploding, I would say they aren't.

For what its worth i would check out the Husqvarna commercial FN98 if your looking for a nice hunting rifle for a good price,check out the used hunting rifle section at Tradeex site

I have the Stiga M96 30-06. Perfect little rifle. Just as strong as any modern budget rifle for sure. Light and quick handling as well.
