Looking for a value priced AR15 with a carry handle.

The only two I can find are the Stag Model 1 and SIG m400.

Which should I choose?

Main difference is 1/7 and 1/9 barrel twist.

Ae they good rifles? Is the build quality good?

Which would you prefer and why? Not interested in tacticaling out the rifle, just shoot using iron sights at the rAnge. Price is basically the same.

1/7 twist is better if you shoot heavier grain .223 REM.

The sig M400 has extra features that the sig does not have.
The Sig has the QD mount on the lower receiver and Sig made a special device inside the lower receiver so the upper and lower receiver will not wiggle.
Wanstalls have the Sig M400 in stock.

Also, if you should look at the basic Core15 that Wanstall have for $1099.
They also have the Magpul Moe Core15 for $1350.

I have not shot either rifles but I have handled the Stag at my LGS and the quality was very good. I cannot speak for the Sig line of rifles but if they fall into the same QC area as their pistols I would try to handle on before purchasing it. I know a lot of people have had good experiences with Sig but after getting 2 lemons from Sig in one year back to back, I will always be hesitant to purchase another one.

The core 15 looks nice but there's no carry handle, which I gotta have for the looks!

What kind of bullet weight do we mean when we say heavy?
