Ok been toying around with this idea for a while and black box customs has the 40% off Cerakote deal going on till December 12th I got a quote back from them for 240$ for full gold or full silver and mags for 12$ each which is a sweet deal!.....the only pictures i found online are of course AK 47s and these look to be actually gold or chrome plated (shiny) not Cerakote (dull). I have several sets of original beechwood I am going to refinish with a high gloss Russian red and Walnut this winter.....I know this look isnt for everyone and will take some bashing for my crazy idea but let me know what you guys think? here are some AKs with the look I am going for...lets hear it! OK yes thanks for reminding me I have talked to him in the past about other projects...thanks for mentioning him....it slipped my mind to contact him and I know he does the real deal chroming will get quote from him also!

I hear ya that is also what I have been thinking about.....and it will be definitely a "shooter" not a safe queen or anything like that.....does anyone know if when mags are cerakoted if the color rubs off pretty easily and get beat up quick?
