I thought someone here was asking about AKAs for various Cartridges, for example the 303 brit being also known as :

I see that the ECRA has put up a list on thier website www.ecra-net.de
If you hit Ammunition and the "denominations" it opens the list.
 
That reminds me of this story about a guy who had this nice European rifle in 7.62x63 and kept asking at gun shops for years for ammo for it and they had never heard of that calibre.

So he had to get another rifle at considerable expense and hunted with that for years and was talking to someone about this one time and the guy told him that the 7.62x63 was the European designation for ......

Dosing: Thanks for posting that site. Very interesting to look at all the names. As a kid, 40 some years ago, that's what got me started in gun collecting - all the neat names of rifles and cartridges, especially the old military, i.e. 7.92mm Mauser, 6.5x55 Swedish, etc. Thanks again.
