Hi there,
Could someone would be able to identify the artist who did this nice and perfect carving work? I bought the gun few tears back as new old stock. I did write to Pedersoli and they told me that this custom made 54 cal. Jäger rifle produced in the Target version with slow 1:65 twist and the shorter 28" barrel's length of the Hunter model was manufactured and shipped to Canada in 2004. They also told me that the carved stock and patch box, probably was a work made by the previous owner. Thanks!

What a beautiful flinter and a pleasure to see it. Thanks for that. I can offer no assistance as to the artist. I guess somewhere between Pedersoli and you, the answer lies waiting. I hope this forum helps and likely more people that see it and talk about it, the better chance of locating the artist, so all the best.

Could have been anyone, likely the previous owner (or one of the previous owners if there is more than one). Should be able to track previous owners down…….maybe. it’s not uncommon for owners of muzzleloaders to apply some home personalization.
