CAS Targets

Typical for the bulk of targets we at Winnipeg Revolver & Pistol use but we also use bigger and smaller.
These are our typical pistol targets.

All of the following will also be used for pistol as well. The cowboy targets have been modified with a circular cutout and a hinged flapper in the center. Sometimes we require a hit on the flapper, sometimes not. The coffin shaped targets are typically for shotgun but we also shoot them with pistol and require them to be knocked over. With a real light .38 load you have to hit the target high to knock it over.

The flappers are about 8 inches round. They are set out 7 to 10 yds for pistol and 20 to 30 for rifle. We mix in a lot of close targets but also throw a few challenges to better marksmanship.

The cowboy target is about 3 feet tall. We have different height stands for the hanging targets (harts, diamonds, clubs, spades, squares, triangles, whisky bottle. The tallest stands put the target about 2 feet higher than the short stands. I don't know what the actual size of the Diamond is but I think it is close to 2 feet.

Other clubs have different targets and sizes. Smaller targets are cheaper but harder to hit.
