Case cleaner

When I lived in a more or less remote area, I couldn`t find a case tumbler, and didn`t want to pay for shipping to bring one in, so I went to a garage sale and bought a vibrating pad sander. I mounted it upside down on a wooden base and screwed a gallon paint can on to the pad. I filled it with media and it worked wonders. Had it for over 20 years. You just have to tape the trigger/switch down and away you go.

When I moved to Ottawa and got back into reloading, I made up another one. Total cost - about $3.

I'd like to see a pic too. Interesting and inventive. How long do you keep the sander on to clean the brass properly?

As you can see, no work of art, but very functional. My first one lasted 10 years and still worked fine when I left it behind (I was moving to the big city and figured I'd never get to shoot again. Also got rid of a few hundred guns-- SIGH, SOB). If you buy a sander at a garage sale, total cost is about $5 - I splurged on this one and bought a new paint can. Even if you buy a new sander, it'll only cost you about 25.

Cleans brass in a few hours. It'll hold several hundred 308. Hope this helps.
