case cleaners... tumblers, vibrators?

i just picked up a lyman turbo 1200 today its busy right now with a few hundred .45acp shells in it. however it is my first one so i have no other to judge it by, but i am happy with it

My Turbo 1200 has done all of my brass for about 4 years now.....that that's a LOT of brass. I've accidentally left it on all weekend. It's usually left on from around 9:00pm until I get home from work around 5pm the next day. Now my buddy borrows it from time to time to do his stuff. It's paid for itself many times over and it's still going strong.

I cheaped out and bought a Frankford Arsenal. It does a nice job and it's not very noisy as long as the lid is tight.
The media separator is a nice idea but I could have made a better one...
I don't do huge quantities at once so no complaints so far.
When it dies I will likely move up.

I can't even hear my Lyman Turbo Pro 1200 running in the next room. I forgot it on overnight a couple of days ago. No problems, nice looking brass. :D

I thought mine was quiet as well until I got the Lyman...now the Frankford sounds like a jackhammer in comparison.

turbo

I've owned a turbo for years and it has been trouble free, no problems what-so-ever it's a good product the only question is what medium to use??

Walnut, walnut or......ummmm...let's see.....WALNUT!! ;)

Get it by the 50lb bag and your good for a year or 2

cool timing
I have a 1200 that I only used 3 times for restoring original bolts (on my Mustang)
and I was gunna put it on the EE pretty soon!!

any thoughts on what i should get for a quiet and high end tumbler/vibrator?

How high end do you want? Dillion has a great warranty, but if you want "high end" then get a Thumler or Thumler Industrial vibrating unit.

They are for rock polishing and designed to run non-stop for YEARS.

case cleaners... tumblers, vibrators

My Dillion CV500 motor died on me last week, used my tumbler on a weekly bases. Now I needed something quick but called Dillion but they were not that helpful.Wanted $58 for new motor and outrages price to ship.Called Bass pro shop and got a Lyman 2400 Magnum with turbo flow for $99.Came to $136 with shipping, taxes and gst and other fies at border.Looks like I can do up 1000 cases of handgun.Well i hope i am going to be happy with it.

We sell most brands of tumblers but we prefer the Lyman 1200 and 2400 models. We finally burned out a motor on one in the basement that has been going strong almost continuously for several years. High volume, low noise...decent price. Get the biggest one you can afford as much like TV's, you won't be sorry you went big. Phil.
