case cleaning

ok so im new to reloading and ive read that your supposed to length size/deprime your cases and then tumble them to clean them up....

but what if your cases are old and tarnished up can i tumble them with the old primers in then deprime and size and then tumble again?

im worried all the dirt like stuff on the cases is going to get clogged up in the dies

I always clean really dirty brass before resizing to keep from damaging my dies, then again to remove the case lube.

I have come up with a great procedure tumble, deprime/size clean primer pockets/swage then I wash in hot soapy water/vinegar solution air dry and the casings turn out NICE.
