Just did a large batch of 204 ruger cases, i need a better way to beburr and chamfer. I use a RCBS hand tool, i see that RCBS and Lyman both have a case prep center. Are they worth, it my kids always want to know what to get me for christmas. Any yeas, nays or better ideas.

I feel your pain, and remember those days well.
I picked up an RCBS trim center from budgetshootingsupplies (Henry N.) this spring and it was worth each penny. It certainly wasn't the most expensive unit out there and isn't the quickest, but after some research figured it was the best choice for me.I have a huge amount of military .223 brass that I need to remove the crimp from the primer pocket. I will be using the unit to tackle this job in the winter.
I even used an empty station on the unit to fit a lee case-trimmer, got the idea off the intranets. If you are interested I could try and post you a video.
One thing I will say about the RCBS unit is that it isn't as fast as I thought it would be, and it's noisy!
I couldn't see myself ever going back to the hand tool...even if the power went out!

Get the RCBS case prep center. I have one and love it. All my reloading buddies have one too and like it. Look at YouTube for examples of it being used.

I was on Lymans web site and noticed the set you mention tjhaile, looked interesting. The old tool i have has one cutter on each end and wouldn`t fit a chuck on a drill, the video of a prep center on Lymans site looks like it could be hard on fingers. Guess i`ll have to check out the options then let the kids know my preference. After all christmas comes right after hunting season and that isn`t to far off.

Quit being a cheap bastard and increase the kid allowance:p That way they will have more money to spend on gifts for you. It willl end up being a win-win. Also look at Gracey trimmers.
