I was wondering is this easy to do is there anyone that does it id like to do it to my semi shoutgun I think it would pretty it up a bit. Any advice ideas or people that do it help lol

So long as it hasn't got an aluminum receiver. I would be worried about something made of such thin metal warping in the heat.

I think you are talking about colour case hardening and it is not a particularly simple thing to do and certainly not something I would try on a receiver for fear of warping.

Oskar Kob's a great guy - quite affordable and knows his stuff.

Let a professional do it. If it warps and cracks it's his responsibility. Colour Case Hardening is also a heat treating process, not always done to all steels.

Im aware of this i work with steels and alloys all the time i know what heat will do. Im more curious only people that do it and the price.
