Case length gauge- trimming cases

Hey guys, ive only just got things together, zip trimmer, holder an case length gauge & cutter..

Previously i was one by one slowly deburring each case down to a size within .002 of each other an it is a real pain in the Ass, anywho this length is obviously under the trim length as the cases dont hit the cutter..
Question is, do i not worry about the cases until they touch the Cutter an need a few turns?

i was about to order some Brass for my Whelen an do up 20-50 cases for next year but depending on the outcome of this i can just use my brass again as its under the trim length which means good to go??

Some people, myself included, trim brass a little short so that they don't need to be trimmed every reload. For brass that I have previously trimmed and reloaded, I run them through my calipers and if they haven't reached (i.e. stretched through firing and full length sizing) the book's max length, I just clean up the brass and it goes into the 'ready to reload' bin.
