case lube?

If it was fired in my bolt action rifle I neck size it and use a mica powder. If I full length size it, I use the Dillion spray lube.

From the web ....

20 BR
The 20 BR is probably the fastest 20-Caliber cartridge in wide usage. There are some faster (20-250 and 20-220 Swift), but only a handful of experimenters have tried them. As the name implies, it is based on the 6mm Norma BR case, necked down to 20 Caliber. Most reloaders form the case by using a 22 BR die, but with a smaller bushing. The 20 BR is another super fast and accurate cartridge that very popular with varmint hunters. Given the superb qualities of the parent Lapua 6BR brass, the 20 BR delivers outstanding accuracy with very little brass prep. The necking-down process can lead to brass-build-up in the neck-shoulder area. This is normally not a problem if your throat is set so that the base of the bullet is in the mid-neck area. Otherwise, inside reaming or outside neck-turning will solve the problem

Recently we talked with Todd Kindler about the 20 BR. He told us "If you like the 6mm BR, you'll like the 20 BR even better." He suggested we run the ballistics at 500 yards for a 50gr .204 Berger at 3900 fps. Well we did, using Point Blank software (with a 1000' altitude), and the results are shown below. The 105 Scenar has 5" less wind deflection, but the little 20 drops nearly two feet less. Conclusion: the 20 BR shoots flatter than a 6BR at 500 yards, and in calm conditions, it can really shine.

Caliber Bullet BC Muzzle Vel Drop at 500 10 mph Drift at 500
6mm BR 105gr Scenar 0.530 2900 fps 63.89" 15.46"
20 BR 50gr Berger 0.296 3900 fps 41.14" 20.58"

At first, when looking at the specs, it may appear that the 20 BR is an overbore cartridge, but real life testing has proven otherwise. WarrenB (Fireball), an avid 20 BR shooter, states “I really love my 20 BR. I have put around 500 rounds through it and my buddy's bore scope shows no real wear yet at the throat. The nice thing about the 20 BR is that it is so easy to push a 40gr. bullet at 4000 FPS with mild pressures. The recoil from the 20 BR is mild with a heavy rifle using a good bench-type stock. I think the sweet spot for the 20 BR is as a heavy, shoot from the bench, prairie dog rifle shooting 39 or 40gr bullets easily at 4000 fps on a hot day with no pressure worries. It is obviously very accurate as well. In terms of case-forming it is as easy--just buy 6BR brass and neck them down. I am using my existing 6mm and 22 BR dies to do everything. Only a new bushing was required."

WARNING: For your own safety, ALWAYS reduce all starting charges by 10% and work up carefully! Ambient temperature changes, powder lot variations, and differences in barrel friction can result in significantly increased pressures.

One, often overlooked, area for lube is on the inside/outside the neck during resizing.

I used to use graphite, dip the neck into the graphite, knock off the loose graphite and resize. I now use moly.

The best way to apply the moly is to mix the moly with steel bird shot. The case is inserted into the moly/shot, twirled and the the loose material is knocked off. A magnet in the bottom of the container keeps the shot in the can. This leaves a "black" neck but does no harm. The moly also gives a much more consistent "bullet pull" whish is conducive to better accuracy.

I use Lee lube. It comes in a toothpaste type tube. Easy to use wet or dry, not messy and wipes off when dry or you can use water. Price around $2.50 per tube and it goes a very long way. I have had no problems with this product.

I've tried a number of different products and most work fairly well. The one that has worked the best for me is Imperial Sizing Die Wax made by Le Clear Industries. It works well and you don't need much as a little goes a long ways.
