How much can a full length (or neck sizer) die fix dings in case mouths? I just got 800 once fired brass and some have some dings, so I'm trying to figure out which ones to throw away off the bat.

Cases1.JPG

6 .308 cases, 1 on the left is the best, 2-4 are regular, and 5 and 6 on the right are the worst I could find(in the first 100 cases).

Which of these cases "should" be able to be reformed once passed through the FL die?

Run them through your size die then check them again. I'd bet they'll all be fine. A lot of new brass doesn't look much better.

Case mouth dents are fairly normal for most milsurps. No big deal. The expander button and the die will fix it. If the expander button doesn't fit, fine needle nosed pliers will make the case mouth big enough. Push the pliers into the case mouth and twist. As opposed to plying the dent.

I've seen new brass with necks dinged worse than those. As has been said, just run them through the die, you will never know.
