Case of Surplus 5.56 1120 Rounds

5.56, even .223 at least .70cent + per round nowadays..average .80 cent on 5.56. Some 62grn & Green tips like a buck a round & more now. Best find on EE privately = less expensive. Last time I bought, it was around .50 cent per round.

Sweet Baby Jesus!!
I'm not on the EE.....just doing some downsizing and found a case, Norinco I think in the spam cans.
Maybe I will keep it....
How about the Hirtenberger 7.62x51?

The Hirtenberger 720 round cases (I believe they were) would fetch $575 or so ($0.80 per round), maybe a bit more if it is the boxer primed version

Thanks for the info.
Trying to decided if i should keep or sell.....not looking to price gouge, just trying to figure out where the market is at.
Oh,have the times changed!

Don't sell any ammo right now. prices are stupid and the fact shipping companies are going away from shipping ammo you might not be able to resupply online later on

Have to agree with this. I have been selling surplus ammo from buying cases and crates of it, to reclaim storage space. I am now having a bit of regret over this as I have been going through ammo at the range quicker than I thought, and I recently went to my LGS asking about availability, and they said some things they are not expecting replenishment for quite some time, if ever. They have also see a sharp increase in price for new ammo shipments, even of standard stuff. It is possible to wait until another time down the line when ammo may be cheaper, but given the volatility in current social and political climates, I concur that it may be best to just hold on to what you shoot or even plan to shoot unless it is standard FMJ rounds of common calibers, but even then, the prices have been going up on those.

Lever Arms, appx seventy cents per round, taxes in, shipping extra.

Hirtenberger has two prices. One for Berdan primed cases and one for Boxer primed cases.

Last box of Berdan I saw, the buyer was asking $625 for 720 rounds, not including shipping and it was BERDAN primed.

Federal Gold medal match is like 1.80 so i am not sure why people pay the high price on garbage ball .308.
