Good evening all! I’m looking to buy a case trimmer, currently I have the quick trim deluxe from Lee for 30-06, but I don’t like it so I want to by something better and something I can do 30-06,9.3x62 and 7x57r.
I saw that Frankfort Arsenal make a universal trimmer https://www.bullseyenorth.com/shop/frankford-arsenal-platinum-series-universal-precision-case-trimmer-1092514-2130
I was wondering if any one here uses it? And is it any good?
What are the other options? I don’t need expensive power trimmers!
Thanks

I've got the RCBS trimmer I got it so I could convert .308 WIN to 300 SAVAGE. But there was a guy selling his DIY version of a WFT, I've tried it and its great. I've requested a holder for a caliber he didn't list, but in 2 days he said it's in the mail!

Do you have a contact info/website/Facebook/Instagram or the like ?
Thanks

I have the Frankfort Arsenal universal trimmer. I like it. It is not hard to switch configuration for another caliber and it is easy to use. Its an awesome piece of kit.

Thanks I watched a few reviews and just ordered one. Look simple, fast and repeatable!! Will see when it gets here!!

I've got an RCBS trimmer, with a 3-way cutter head - trim, deburr and chamfer all in one step.

I've also removed the screw hold the crank handle to the shaft, and replaced it with a socket-head screw. That way I can use a cordless drill to turn the shaft/cutter.

I have had the Frankford Arsenal trimmer for 3 years now and couldn't imagine reloading without it. It is precise and easy to set up and change calibers. It trims to length, inside and outside chamfers and cleans primer pockets or removes crimp. It's probably some of the best money you will spend on a reloading tool.

I wasn’t looking/asking about that unit, but only the trimming tool, that is the same as the one on your prep center but a stand alone piece that you use with a cordless drill! But thanks for the reply and confirming that the trimmer is in fact a good tool!

I do exactly this for my high volume 223 Remington plinking loads. The trimmers are inexpensive (especially if they are used), and most RCBS 3-way tool heads are only about $90 (new).
I don't have to deburr and chamfer as separate steps and the consistency exceeded my expectations.
Its not as fast as something like a Giraud (or a knock off of Giraud), but I can't justify the cost of upgrading.
