So Im reloadin for the BD-44 7.92 Kurtz

I bought a pile of Graff brass and also got a bunch of reformed .308 brass

while loading (21.5 gr IMR 4198) i noticed the reformed brass filled up much higher than the graff brass (the reformed stuff must have thicker walls)

Anyway....how will this affect pressures assuming all other constants remain the same?

...(I actually reduced the load by a half gr just to feel better)

That's a 2.3% reduction. A greater reduction might be better. Also, make sure that the neck diameter of the reformed case with a bullet seated is going to fit the chamber properly - it could be too large.

You can't really compare the weight of the original powder charge with one involving a current canister grade propellant.
Recommendations for working up loads for 7.62 NATO cases vs .308 commercial ones often mention a 10% reduction to start, because of the difference in volume resulting from wall thickness.
But do make sure that the case neck is not too thick. When a case is shortened that much, the neck walls may be much thicker than an original case.
