Does anyone have any experience with these. I am not prepared to take the leap up to a Foxpro FX3/FX5 just yet and was looking at these as a cheaper way to start calling coyotes and crows.

Is the external speaker needed?

Any feedback positive or negative would be appreciated.

Thanks

the external speaker is nice, but no it isnt needed i have one in predator#1 and 2 and can say they both work well, ive called in my share of yotes with them and owls magpies and crows ect alwasy come in to the wounded rabbit call, i got them because they were cheap to but im not going to spend 600+ on a fancy foxpro these work just fine for me.

Yeah, the Cass Creek will definitely work for you. When I first got addicted to coyotesmackdown, I used the Predator 1 with the ext spkr on the ground at a tree stand. They are simple to use,and there is a more expensive remote model available. If you call them, they will come. GJ

Have a look at the phantom mini ($50)caller. It has an output jack that lets you run it to a megaphone ($50) for extra volume.

Its no foxpro but I ran into some guys using that setup for moose this year and it sounded pretty darn good.

I have the cass creek predator, it worked , brought them in, my only problem was they had their focus right on my position. It was my first time, I didn't realize they were THAT far sighted :)

I started with a Cass Creek caller as well.

But I added an amp and a loud speaker to mine. I had the amp attached to the caller and then a long wire to the caller.

It work ok but the remote on the Fox Pro is the way to go, it just costs more.
