Cass Creek speakers

has anyone used the Cass Creek speakers? Just wondering if the Big Horn speaker is that much better than the standard remote speaker?
 
Yup, I have one. It's very clear and very loud. A little larger and heavier than some top $$$ callers, but for the price it's fantastic. Has a 75 foot cord to plug into an MP3 player or iPod, too.
 
I've used one for a couple of years now & find it adequate for the job. Be careful how you wind up the cord, it kinks easily when cold. I usually take one of the batteries out while not using it as the push button is easily turned on in your pack & it will run down the batteries. I always carry 4 spare "C" batteries in my pack & spare batteries for my mp3 player.
 
What about the standard remote speaker that they sell. Anyone have any experience with it. How does the volume compare with the Big Horn speaker?
 
I have the regular cass creek remote speaker and have found that it lacks any more volume the the main caller as well as being very distorted sound. Mabye I just got a bad one. I tried it with my Predator 2 and Crow with same result. Was no better with the short cable as well. Cookie
