Okay all you guys with schuetzen rigs, let's see 'em!:)
Still wringing mine out, biut it's starting to come around wit the irons ad te scope.
25:1 mix of roofers lead and 50/50 solder, 17 grains of 4759 powder.
Bullets are 255 and 315 grains yielding nothing bigger than 5 shot 1.5" groups, flyers included - she'll tighten up , though....!
Here's a 3 shot at 100 with h4198 powder and the 255 grain bullet - 7/8" .
The backing board was trashed so it looks like more than two in the bigger hole.

Very nice! It's a 38/55 then? You'll have to try Black Powder and/or breech seating.....I especially like that Unertl.

The gun is set up for breech seating Ben, I haven't had much of a chnce to shoot black wit it yet , but you bet tha I wll!
One mold is origianl Winchester, as is the loading tool, the gun was built in 1906 and shipped in 1907 IIRC.
I bouthg it from te Sly old Fox on ths site, the rifle was originally built with a straight stock and re-stocked in 1954 with the resent Schuetzen style butt.
The barrel is original, ad it also has the orignal single set trigger as well!:)
The Unertl is very nice, it's a 12X

When i breech seat using black powder, I have to clean the chamber/leade area after every shot or the bullet won't seat fully with my .32/40, but the gun just sounds right using Black Powder.
